Bean Counter, a 7.8% Belgian Brown with Coffee from Taxman Brewing in Bargersville, IN
Bean Counter pours a deep brown with a tan head. A big coffee aroma hits your nose before you even finish lifting the glass! Once you do though, the roast is coupled with a little caramel, toffee, subtle dried fruit, some very mild chocolate and even a slight touch of orange. The flavor is a spot on match to the aroma, with the roasted coffee taking the lead. A bit of nuttiness plays with a hint of plum and some Belgian yeast, then finishes dry with some warmth. This is a great beer not only for Belgian drinkers, but for Brown ale drinkers & even coffee lovers!
I bought mine from Tavour. Taxman Brewing beers are usually available on that app. So even if you’re not in or near Bargersville, IN, know someone out that way or are planning a trip there, you still have a very good option for picking up a can or two of Bean Counter (when it’s available of course). If you like Belgians, Belgian Browns or just Brown ales in general, I recommend trying it! And don’t sleep on any of the other Taxman Brewing beers!
